Second Call for The LOOP Zurich Incubator Projects
01.10.2025 16:20
The LOOP Zurich invites research groups from Zurich to submit proposals for the second round of Incubator Projects. This funding scheme targets teams from at least two different academic partner institutions who wish to explore innovative approaches in the field of precision medicine.
Purpose of the Incubator Projects
The Incubator Projects are designed to complement The LOOP Zurich’s precision medicine strategy by developing novel research ideas or establishing new research consortia. In contrast to the LOOP Translational Projects, Incubator Projects do not necessarily require the inclusion of a clinical research or biomedical informatics component.
Projects may focus on:
-
Identifying new cellular and molecular targets for diagnosis, therapy and/or prevention,
-
Evaluating new biological concepts, or
-
Developing innovative MedTech solutions for diagnostic, therapeutic or preventive applications.
A key aspect of The LOOP Zurich’s mission is supporting the next generation of researchers. Each project must enable at least one postdoctoral scientist to take on a responsible role as a junior principal investigator (PI), contributing to their academic career development.
